It is a visual journey into the heart of a story that mirrors our own hopes and fears, captured through a lens that finds beauty in industrial grit and cinematic silence. The Watkins, a Frohna Missouri family. Cliff Watkins owns a small alarm company and tries to make his war hero/U.S. Congressman father John Raymond Watkins "the Missouri Oak" proud. To answer that call, Cliff forms a fast growing militia. Meanwhile The congressman is up to some questionable behavior, both professionally and personally. Cliff's wife, Cecilia is a budding journalist,. She has begun investigating her father in law. While all of this occurs, J.R., Cliff's teenage son tries to navigate the drama within his family while having a girlfriend who's father is in the country illegally. Through the story we find out what it means to be "American" and just how far someone would go to protect their American way of life.
